IOS 4.3.1, the latest Apple OS version, has just been released and it comes as a small update to iPad, iPad 2, iPhone 4 / 3GS, iPod Touch 4G/3G users. This will generally be just a small patch, to fix some minor bugs and issues. The iOS 4.3.1 can be downloaded using the links below and, following our instructions, be installed on your iDevice.
The latest Apple firmware will generally fix some small and announced bugs, along with few security vulnerabilities. It seems the developers were only kind enough to share the fact that, by installing the iOS 4.3.1 update, the battery drain problem will be solved. This problem was present in iOS 4.3 so, if you didn’t reach that standard yet, there is no reason to do it now.
How to install this? Well, the first thing you should do is download the iOS 4.3.1 patch, using the links below. Remember, this is available for all iDevices, including the iPad / iPad 2, iPhone 4 / 3GS and iPod Touch 3G / 4G. Then, connect the device to your MAC / PC, start iTunes and once the terminal has been detected, press the Shift / Option key and click on ‘”Restore”. Browse to the iOS 4.3.1 ipsw file and select it. iTunes will do the job from now on.
Unfortunately, the Verizon iPhone 4 has stuck with iOS 4.2.6 and no words were said about its update.
