HOW TO ENABLE VIDEO CHAT ON FACEBOOK | VIDEO CHAT ON FACEBOOK | HOW TO USE VIDEO CHAT ON FACEBOOK | VIDEO CHAT ON FACEBOOK USE

While Google wants to attack the social networks world with their Google+, Facebook “giant”started to introduce new socializing methods, this time in a partnership with Microsoft’s most expensive acquisition - Skype.

From now on, any Facebook user can make video calls and interact with other Facebook or Skype users, using facebook.com website.
The process works the other way around, too, as the Skype users can initiate audio and video calls with any Facebook user that has enabled Facebook Video Calling option.
Activating Facebook Video Calling is really easy and it only takes 2 or 3 minutes to do it. So, if you want to enable Facebook Video Calling, you came to the right place, as the following tutorial will show you how to easily activate Facebook’s new video call option.
As we told you above, Facebook launched Facebook Video Calling, a new browser-based communication method. But in order to be able to use Facebook Video Calling you must install a small plug-in first. So, in order to enable Facebook Video Calling we invite you to follow the steps below.
  1. Obviously, you will need a Facebook account in order to use the Video Calling feature.
  2. Now, you will have to log in to the Facebook account for which you want to enable this option.
  3. Now start your web browser (we recommend Firefox, Chrome or Safari) and point it to http://www.facebook.com/videocalling then go the the specified address.
  4. Once there, click on the “Get started” button.    Note: The steps 5 – 9 may appear in a different order, depending on your browser and operating system. Still, the actions are the same, no mater when the situation appears.
  5. Select the friend you want to initiate a video call with.
  6. Now a chat box should open. Once there, click on the Video icon.
  7. At this point your browser might ask for your permission to install a plug-in or download a file. Confirm the permission by clicking the “Allow,” “Install” or “Grant” button (depending on the browser) or save the file on your Desktop.
  8. The Facebook Video Calling will now start downloading. Once finished downloading, open and installthe file. In certain browsers the download and the installation will start automatically.
  9. Once the installation is finished, restart your web browser, by closing it then by opening it again.
  10. Now find and call the friend you want to talk to again, just like you did at step 5.
  11. Have fun!

Note: in order to be able to use the Facebook Video Calling, both you and your friend will need to installthe plugin. The users who installed Facebook Video Call can also interact with Skype users, without installing Skype.
