Korean sources claim that Samsung could be launching a 3D phone within Q4 this year.
Samsung's name is the latest to show up in the 3D rumour mill. According to a new report, the Korean mobile maker could be new in line to produce a 3D smartphone. The rumour further states that the phone could break covers before the end of this year (Q4). This news comes from the company's home turf South Korea where ET News has reportedthat Samsung is cooking up a 3D version of the fancied Galaxy S II, which is still selling like hot cakes around the world. The Galaxy 3D, as it is known for now, could feature a 4.3" 3D LCD screen, dual 8 MP cameras on the back for 3D video capture, a 1.2 GHz dual core Exynos processor, and Android 2.3 Gingerbread with an Ice Cream Sandwichupdate on the horizon. For easy streaming of videos, the phone is also said to have HDMI output.
If this rumour has any substance in it, we would be really pleased to see how Samsung would fare. It would however be too early to speak about the authenticity of the rumour, but ET News claims that this info comes straight from industry sources, therefore it must be something. Let's wait till we hear more about it from Samsung.
